#FabPlugins Accessories for your code: 5 jQuery slider plugins

The web is full of open source goodies to “shop” through helping us to add shiny new bling to our sites. Every-time I’m on github, themeforest or jQueryrain I feel like I’m on Etsy with unlimited free credits! It’s quite the rush. The #FabPlugins series is my way to share my favorite finds with you. So, without further ado, lets get accessorizing our websites!

Plugin 1: Unslider

My go-to slider for simplicity. Easy to use, includes swipe support and a few methods for customization, no frills or fluff.

Plugin 2: OWL Carousel

This carousel allows for a ton of customization and is great on mobile devices due to its touch and grab functionality. One very cool feature is it’s ability to load in images through JSON. This carousel also allows for one image up at a time turning it into a slider. There is also a newer version now in BETA that is worth checking out here.

Plugin 3: Slippry

The main reason I chose this slider is because of its neat ‘Ken Burns’ effect, which is a transition option you can use. Check out the effect.

Plugin 4: SuperSlides

If its full-screen, wow factor you’re looking for, Superslides has you covered. This plugin will make your slides look cinematic and even ‘smartly’ center your images. #prettycool

Plugin 5: Scattered Polaroids Gallery

And for the grand finale, my favorite! This Hero style gallery will take images and turn them into a beautiful polaroid gallery that animates by shuffling around the images. You can even flip over the polaroid to check out your caption on the back (this is optional). I will definitely be using this one on my blog soon.
